We’re excited to announce the purchase of our new home…
Today, we turn a new chapter as we prepare to embark on our 82nd season, marking a vibrant new era for our beloved orchestra. Our new home will be more than just a physical space—it will be a dynamic hub for the arts, nestled within the expanding arts corridor of our growing downtown landscape.
The acquisition of 826 Ewing Street was made possible by a historic anonymous gift, which signifies a profound commitment to the orchestra and the cultural enrichment of our arts community. We are deeply grateful for this extraordinary generosity, which underscores the vital role that philanthropy plays in our mission.
The new facility will be the home to administrative offices on the first floor, providing our team with a modern and inspiring work environment. But our vision extends far beyond mere offices. We see our new home as a collaborative space—a welcoming haven where our musicians and other arts organizations can come together, share ideas, and collaborate on exciting projects for our region.
We are thrilled to be partnering with Chuck and Lisa Surack and the University of St. Francis in this endeavor. Their dedication and vision align perfectly with ours, and together, we aim to create something truly special—a beacon of artistic excellence and community engagement.
As we move forward, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic is more committed than ever to our mission of bringing the joy of music to all. This new home is a testament to our resilience, our growth, and our unwavering dedication to our community. It symbolizes our bright future and our promise to continue enriching lives through the transformative power of music.
Thank you for your support and for sharing this exciting journey with us. Here’s to a future filled with inspiring performances, meaningful collaborations, and a thriving arts community in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne.
