Violist Theodore E. Chemey, III, has played with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic since 1991.

Born in Philadelphia, Chemey began playing at age 10 and also plays trombone. He has a Bachelor of Music degree in Viola from Oberlin College and previously played with the Toledo Symphony and the Lima Symphony Orchestra. Chemey also is an Air Traffic Control Specialist and enjoys skiing. He and his wife, Susan, have three children, Alexander, Michael and Natalie.
