Club Orchestras

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Club Orchestras program (including Club O and Club Kid-O) currently has the following openings for the 24-25 school year:  

  • Club Kid-O K-1 Teaching Artist at Waynedale Elementary School, FWCS (Grades K-1)  
    Music education experience preferred 
    Teach beginning general music concepts using singing, playing instruments and movement through a developed curriculum 
    Rehearsals begin September 24, 2024, and conclude May 15, 2025, except for school breaks 
    Weekly rehearsal schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 3:15-5:00 p.m.

  • Club Orchestra Tier I Classroom Assistant at Forest Park Elementary School, FWCS (Grades 2-5)
    Elementary education experience preferred
    Assist Tier I teaching artist in first-year violin class
    Rehearsals begin September 10, 2024, and conclude May 15, 2025, except for school breaks
    Weekly rehearsal schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 3:15-5:00 p.m.

FOR ALL POSITIONS: 

  • Engaged by a Club-O Personal Service Agreement (PSA) for a full season .  
  • Staff meetings will take place before the program begins, during the season, and after the season with dates subject to change. 
  • Teaching Artists will lead students in performances throughout the season and as part of the May 14, 2025 Celebration Concert with the Philharmonic at the Purdue Fort Wayne Music Center.
