Join us on a journey as we explore the exciting sounds of music from South America and Spain with an array of Latin-infused masterpieces. The evening begins with Ginastera's Estancia: Four Dances, Op. 8a, a rhythmic exploration of Argentine folk influences that will transport you to the heart of South America. The excitement continues with JP Jofre, playing the bandoneon, an accordion-like instrument from South America, joining forces with Fort Wayne Philharmonic concertmaster, Violetta Todorova performing Jofre’s Double Concerto for Violin and Bandoneon. Experience the unique fusion of classical and tango traditions in Piazzolla's Aconcagua: Concerto for Bandoneon and finish the evening with de Falla's vibrant El sombrero de tres picos (Three-Cornered Hat): Suite No.2, bringing the spirit and flair of Spanish folklore to life.
