Fort Wayne, IN (February 22, 2024) – Music Director Andrew Constantine and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic proudly announce the highly anticipated 2024-25 Season. The season will consist of expanded Masterworks and Pops Series concerts as well as the familiar Freimann and Family Series. Other concerts will include a new Coffee Concert Series. "Whether you are a seasoned concertgoer or experiencing the magic of live orchestral music for the first time, our 2024-25 Season promises something for everyone."

Masterworks Series: A Journey of Grandeur and Musical Brilliance

Opening night of the Masterworks Series is October 5, 2024, with Mahler’s “Symphony No. 5," alongside Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev gems. Other highlights include "Tango Rhythms and Latin Dances" on November 9, 2024, which includes Fort Wayne Philharmonic Concertmaster Violetta Todorova and bandoneon master, JP Jofre. We welcome back violinist Paul Huang on January 18, 2025, as he performs Sibelius’ “Violin concerto in D minor,” and the grand finale on Closing Night, Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 3" featuring renowned pianist Garrick Ohlsson on May 10, 2025.

Pops Series: A Fusion of Popular Culture and Musical Magic

The Pops Series promises electrifying experiences, from the soulful "Queens of Soul" on October 19, 2024, to the magical "Music of Harry Potter" on March 29, 2025. The series also features the movie “Elf in Concert” where concertgoers will watch the movie while the orchestra performs the score live on November 14, 2024. “Country Hits: Songs from Nashville" on April 26, 2025, and continues the much-loved "Holiday Pops" tradition in December.

Freimann Series: Intimate Chamber Music Classics

The Freimann Series invites patrons to experience chamber music classics up close and personal, featuring Romantic composer Johannes Brahms, Classical period pieces from Beethoven and Mozart, and music from Modern composer Arthur Bliss.

Coffee Concert Series: A Mid-morning Symphony Experience

The new Coffee Concert Series offers a shortened, morning concert experience featuring works by Beethoven, Copland, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. This unique series not only provides a delightful mid-morning musical interlude but also includes complimentary coffee after each performance and a Fort Wayne Philharmonic Coffee Series mug and provides an exclusive opportunity for patrons to engage in discussions with guest artists, and the musicians themselves. Delve into the intricacies of the repertoire, gain insights into the creative process, and connect with the artists who bring the music to life.

Family Series: Igniting the Imagination of Young Minds

Tailored to ignite the imaginations of kids aged 2-12, these sensory friendly daytime concerts provide a joyful introduction to the world of orchestral magic. The Family Series offers an immersive and entertaining experience, where children can explore the wonders of classical music in a family-friendly environment.
