Seth Carter began performing with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic in January 2025. A native of Paris, Texas, he has had notable success as a soloist, ensemble musician, and chamber artist. Previously, Seth served as Principal Tuba of the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra and performed with the McKinney Philharmonic, Lone Star Wind Orchestra, and Aspen Festival Orchestra.

Seth is a two-time gold medalist at the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival (2017 and 2020). He has also been featured at the 2022 US Army Tuba-Euphonium Workshop and has received prizes at ITEC, SCRTEC, IWBC, and IMAC. A winner of the Jaqueline Avant Concerto competition, Seth has soloed with the Sewanee Symphony.

He earned degrees from the University of North Texas (BME Music Education, BM Performance) and is pursuing an MM at the Colburn Conservatory. He is also a mentor for middle and high school euphonium/tuba students in Los Angeles. His teachers include Aaron Tindall, Donald Little, Matthew Good, and Warren Deck.
