About the Philharmonic Center
The Philharmonic Center is celebrating its Grand Opening on April 24, 2026. Its 36,000 sq. foot facility on Ewing Street provides a permanent home for the Philharmonic, and serves as a vibrant hub for concerts, rehearsals, collaborations, and community events. With natural lighting, historic character, and spaces imagined for artistic excellence, the Philharmonic Center welcomes all who seek connection through music, creativity, innovation, and shared experience.
The Philharmonic Center is a 99-year-old landmark with a legacy of culture, education, and community. Originally home to the Chamber of Commerce and Woman’s Club, this building has begun its next chapter as the creative heart of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

Volunteer At the Center
Volunteer at the Phil Center and do more than lending a hand, join a community built on connection, presence, and shared purpose. Our volunteers create meaningful, beautifully executed moments for every guest. Service is an act of care, and every volunteer plays a vital role in building experiences that truly matter.
Ushers: Greet guests, take tickets, help patrons to their seats, answer questions, sell concessions & merchandise.
Special Event Help: Table setup and teardown, answer guest questions, greet guests.
Guest Artist Help: On-site contact for guest artists, drive artists to and from hotel, on-site hospitality setup.
