Laurie Blanchet is the Acting Principal Clarinetist of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and was the Acting 2nd Clarinetist from September to November 2021.

She has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony and Orchestre symphonique de Québec. Laurie was a regular member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago from 2019 to 2021. 

Laurie is a native of Québec, Canada. She received a Post-Master's Certificate in Performance from DePaul University in Chicago with Stephen Williamson (Principal Clarinet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra), a Graduate Performance Diploma from McGill University in Montréal with Jean-François Normand, a Master degree from Conservatoire de musique de Québec with Marie Picard and a Bachelor degree from Université de Sherbrooke with Nathalie DeGrâce.
